UniPure Drop-In System UniPure has modified our proven treatment components to be quickly and easily installed in a rental tank. Our Reactor and Clarifier can be literally dropped into a rectangular tank to transform a storage tank into a complete 200+ gpm metals removal system. Drop-In UniPure Reactor Our unique jet aeration nozzle replaces our Reactor mixer. The nozzle provides the same shear dynamics while using less power. The jet mixing rapidly converts all the dissolved ferrous iron into extremely reactive ferric particles capable of removing 26 different metals. The pH is maintained within our wide operating range (5.0 - 10.5) by adding the operator's preferred base or acid into the feed line. Our unique amorphous ferric solids encapsulate dissolved metals, adsorb precipitated metals and coagulate TSS. Polymer Addition Module If necessary, a flocculent can be added to the Reactor effluent. A serpentine plug flow flocculator transforms the particles suspended in the UniPure Reactor into large, uniform, easily settled floc. The flocculated solids are directed into the clarifier's settling area via distribution channels. Drop-In UniPure Clarifier Our modified 200+ gpm clarifier allows the unit to be shopped inside the rental tank or inserted on site. Our compact inclined-plate clarifiers efficiently separate the contaminants captured in the Reactor. The clarifier distributes flow evenly to each settling plate and introduces the flow without disturbing the solids sliding off the plates. Clean water flows thru the adjustable weirs at the top of the unit. The individual settling plates can be installed or removed without tools and without shutting down the system. Solids collection The solids generated by the metals removal process will collect in the bottom of the tank. A pump will periodically transfer the solids to the appropriate dewatering device. A portion of the solids will be recycled to the Reactor to enhance the metals removal process.
